Currently completed and under test is support for fully penetrable (bulk) materials in lucernhammer MT and Orion. We expect this capability will begin shipping within the next couple of months.

Our three-dimensional scattering center extraction tool, Orion, is complete and now ships with the lucernhammersuite of codes. Current users with maintenance contracts who are interested in this new tool should contact us to obtain a new disc.

We have recently added a new tool to the lucernhammer collection, called Orion. Orion is a three-dimensional scattering-center extraction tool, based on the one-look SAR algorithm developed for shooting and bouncing ray (SBR) codes. Orion is based on the lucernhammer MT compute engine. Orion is currently being tested and optimized, and will be available by the end of 2009.

We have completed work on Serenity 1.2. Changes in this version include:

  • Added Conjugate Gradient Squard (CGS), Biconjugate Gradient Stabilized (BiCG-Stab) and GMRES(k) iterative solvers. Removed the existing Conjugate Gradient solver
  • Improved accuracy for all near-matrix element integrations
  • Added an ILU preconditioner suite to improve the behavior of the MLFMA-accelerated iterative solvers
  • The user may now specify lists of arbitrary frequencies and angles as inputs

Users with up-to-date maintenance schedules may obtain the new code free of charge, and all new customers will be receiving the new code as of July 2, 2007.

We will no longer be providing binaries for SGI IRIX.

Our new book The Method of Moments in Electromagnetics is now available for pre-order through amazon.com. This book provides a introduction to Moment Method applications in Electromagnetics by treating surface integral equations in a straightforward fashion with a complete summary of requisite equations as well as many examples.

lucernhammer 1.6 is now completed and available, adding to the suite the Body of Revolution Method of Moments (MoM-BoR) code Galaxy, as well as some efficiency changes to Serenity. lucernhammer MT will remain unchanged in this version, as we are considering adding other additional features to the program in addition to the penetrable material code.

    Preliminary details on lucernhammer 1.6:

lucernhammer 1.6 will add to the suite a new solver code called Galaxy, which employs the Body of Revolution Method of Moments (MoM-BoR) technique to compute the scattered field from axisymmetric objects (after the work by Harrington and Mautz). The method is extremely fast and very accurate. As input geometry the user will supply a file containing a set of points describing the boundary of the object. Concave objects will be allowed, permitting the simulation of objects with rotationally symmetric cavities (such as reentry vehicles and tanks with nozzles).
